Robert Paradela, Jr.BiographyRobert “Rob” Paradela, Jr. is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Fort Lauderdale office where he works in a variety of practice areas, but primarily in employment law and medical malpractice. Prior to joining Wicker Smith as an associate in 2024, Rob practiced at an AmLaw 10 firm where he litigated and counseled on a variety of labor & employment matters. His practice included litigating and counseling on trade secret and restrictive covenant disputes arising when individuals changed employment. He also represented corporate clients in a variety of discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims in state and federal court, as well as before state and federal administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR). Rob also specialized in advising employers on legal risks when performing reductions in the client’s workforce. Rob attended Florida State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He graduated cum laude in 2017, and continued on to University of Virginia School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2020.
