Felipe GonzalezBiographyFelipe Gonzalez is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Miami office, where he works on a variety of matters including professional liability, retail, transportation, and general liability matters. Felipe attended Florida International University in Miami, graduating with a degree in Mass Communications and an area of concentration in Comparative Politics. In 2019, he earned his Juris Doctor degree and a Certificate in Family Law from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. At DePaul, Felipe served as the President of the Latino Law Student Association (LLSA) and was an active law student member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI). He was awarded the CALI Excellence Book Award in Legal Analysis & Research III and in Pre-trial Civil Litigation Strategies, and was selected to enroll in two study abroad programs in Germany and Spain, where he focused on distinct practice areas, including human rights and European business law. During law school, Felipe worked for a Midwest regional law firm in its product liability department, as well as at a non-profit legal clinic serving Chicago-area families and individuals. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2025, Felipe practiced at a Miami based boutique firm focusing on matters related to personal injury, civil rights, and labor and employment law. He also worked at a multi-practice national law firm based in Florida where he represented employers in labor and employment matters arising under a variety of state and federal statutes, including Title VII, the FCRA, the ADA, the ADEA, the FLSA, the FMLA, retaliation statutes, and EEOC charges of discrimination. Felipe’s focus is on providing a tailored approach, quality work product, and exemplary service. When Felipe isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family and dog, playing soccer, watching basketball and tennis, and going to the movies.
