George Pinilla

George M. Pinilla is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Fort Lauderdale office. He works in a variety of practice areas, but primarily general liability.

Mr. Pinilla served his country in the United States Marine Corps, including a six-month deployment to Helmand Province and Kandahar, Afghanistan. He rose to the rank of Sergeant before he was honorably discharged in 2015 and went on to obtain a degree in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security from Florida Institute of Technology.

He continued his education at Nova Southeastern University Shephard Broad College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2023. Among his many law school accolades, he made the Dean’s List all six semesters, received the school’s inaugural Veteran Student of the Year award in 2021, served as the Vice of President of Competitions for the NSU Trial Association, and is a National Champion of the 2022 Buffalo-Niagara Mock Trial Competition.

Mr. Pinilla worked as a law clerk in Wicker Smith’s Fort Lauderdale office for over a year, before being welcomed to the firm as a first-year associate in 2023.
