Jessica Kaplan

Jessica L. Kaplan is a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Wicker Smith where she primarily focuses her practice on medical malpractice, general liability and professional liability. 

In 2014, Ms. Kaplan received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration cum laude from the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in 2009. While in law school, Ms. Kaplan was the recipient of the Civil Procedure Book Award and also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advance Torts. She was also a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, the Cardozo Law Society, and served as a Student Ambassador. She also gained valuable experience while serving as an intern at the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney where she worked in the Capital Murder Felony Division and she also served as a judicial intern for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Ms. Kaplan practiced at another South Florida litigation firm, where she handled medical malpractice, professional liability and commercial litigation matters.  

Ms. Kaplan is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and is a good standing member of The Florida Bar. When not practicing law, Jessica enjoys watching football, traveling and spending time with family.
