Joshua MausBiographyJoshua M. Maus, originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, practices out of the Orlando office of Wicker Smith, where he focuses primarily on Retail and Transportation matters. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Mr. Maus served in the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office over three gubernatorial administrations, most recently as Chief Counsel for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA). For his extraordinary efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, Josh was awarded the 2021 Unsung Heroes Award by The Legal Intelligencer, in providing critical behind-the-scenes counsel to the Governor and his executive team, ensuring continuity of government operations and helping to protect the health and safety of all Pennsylvanians. Josh also served as Press Secretary for the Governor’s Office of General Counsel, where he was the primary point of contact for all media and press inquiries regarding high profile litigation in the Governor’s Office and over thirty executive agencies under the Governor’s jurisdiction. Mr. Maus earned a Master of Journalism and Media Studies from the University of South Florida, a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a radio and television personality in multiple markets throughout the country.
