Payton Fletcher

Payton Fletcher is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Fort Lauderdale office. She works in a variety of practice areas, but primarily general liability, retail, aviation, and transportation.

Payton attended Florida State University, where she double-majored in Political Science and Criminology. She graduated in 2019, and continued on to Stetson University College of Law. At Stetson, she worked as a teaching assistant in Research & Writing I and II and served as a Stetson Senior Ambassador. She was also a Senior Associate Member of Stetson Law Review, holding a position on the Article Selection Committee.

Payton has extensive experience in the areas of public relations and communication as it relates to law and public policy. She completed multiple internships in the field, including two years at the Veterans Advocacy Clinic in Gulfport, Florida, where she worked as a legal fellow, law clerk, and teaching assistant, working directly with clients of the clinic to assist them in processing their claims and getting them resolved. During her time at the Veterans Advocacy Clinic, Payton contributed to an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of the United States in support of a veteran.

Payton joined Wicker Smith as a law clerk in 2021, and was welcomed to the firm as an associate in 2023.
