Sophia Polo

Sophia M. Polo is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, focusing primarily on medical malpractice matters.

Sophia graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Psychology. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law in 2024. During law school, she was a Dean’s Scholar and consistent Dean’s List recipient. She was an active member of the Student Bar Association (President), Public Interest Network (President), Society for First Generation Students (Founder & President), and Women’s Law Society (Secretary). Sophia was also a competing member of the FIU Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocates and FIU Negotiation and Mediation Team. She competed in the ABA Negotiation Competition, ABA Mediation Competition, and the E. Earle Zehmer National Moot Court Competition.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith as an Associate in 2024, Sophia gained experience in estate planning and family law while serving as a dedicated law clerk for two respected law firms.

During her free time, Sophia enjoys reading, traveling, trying new things, and spending time with her loved ones. She is admitted to practice in the state of Florida.
