Wicker Smith Announces New Shareholder and Firm Partners
MIAMI – January 9, 2013 – Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy and Ford P.A. is pleased to announce that attorney Michael C. Tyson has become a Shareholder in the firm and attorneys Lynn L. Audie, Patrick K. Dahl, and Charlene C. Poblete have been promoted to Partner effective immediately.
Orlando – Shareholder Michael C. Tyson has over 20 years experience and focuses his practice on legal matters involving medical malpractice, premises liability, negligent security, trucking litigation, general civil litigation and appellate law. Active in the community, Mr. Tyson devotes much of his time to working with Orlando’s Homeless Advocacy Project, The Association to Preserve African American Society, History & Tradition, Inc and the Rollins College Athletic Council. He is also an active member of The Florida Bar, Orange County Bar Association, Orlando Claims Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association and Defense Research Institute. Mr. Tyson is an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, a recipient of the Irving Kaufman Securities Law Best Brief Award, and is a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. Mr. Tyson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rollins College in 1985 and then went on to earn a Juris Doctor in 1990 from Florida State University.
Miami – Partner Lynn L. Audie has nearly 23 years experience handling complex litigation in both state and federal court, covering a broad spectrum of legal matters including medical malpractice, insurance coverage issues, personal injury claims, contractual disputes, negligent security, intellectual property, automobile negligence and general liability claims. She is an AV Preeminent attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. Admitted to practice in the state of Florida, Ms. Audie is an active member of the Florida Bar and Dade County Bar Association. Ms. Audie graduated from Georgia State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and then went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1990.
Fort Lauderdale – Partner Patrick K. Dahl focuses his practice on appellate, automotive, civil litigation, commercial litigation, construction, labor & employment, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical & medical devices, premises liability, professional liability and sexual abuse. Mr. Dahl earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Government, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame, in 1999 and 2002 respectfully; both of which were bestowed with cum laude honors. He is an active member of The Florida Bar, Illinois State Bar, American Bar Association and Broward County Bar Association.
Jacksonville – Partner Charlene C. Poblete focuses her practice in the areas of medical and legal malpractice, insurance agent-broker errors and omissions, premises liability and products liability, defending claims in both state and federal court. Ms. Poblete graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida in 2004, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She also minored in English, History and Sociology, and was invited for membership into Phi Beta Kappa. From there, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law, graduating in 2007. Admitted to The Florida Bar in 2007, Ms. Poblete is an active member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and the Phi Beta Kappa Association of Northeast Florida.
